MFC: Bitter Rivals Set for January 27th, Features Lightweight Title Fight

Saturday’s Maximum Fighting Championship show will be the final MFC event for 2011, but fear not. Sunday afternoon, the promotion announced that MFC 32: Bitter Rivals (January 27th) will open the 2012 fight season for the Canadian promotion.

The line-up for MFC 32 is already taking shape with three main-card bouts announced by MFC owner/president Mark Pavelich.

MFC Lightweight champ Antonio McKee defends his strap against Brian Cobb in the co-main event while Dwayne Lewis faces UFC vet Wilson Gouveia in the other co-main. Lewis-Gouveia will mark the promotion’s first five-round, non-title fight.

Also scheduled, the return of David Heath, Dhiego Lima, Curtis Demarce, Sheldon Westcott and more.

MFC 32 will be broadcast live from the Mayfield Conference Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada throughout North America on HDNet, beginning at 10 PM ET.
