In what almost slipped through the cracks into the realms of being a moment handled well after the fact, Captain America’s shattered shield was addressed briefly in the final issue of Fear Itself.
Upon finding out what had happened and, you know, saving the world, Tony Stark took the pieces of Cap’s shield to the dwarves that helped him forge all the weapons to fight the Serpent with. Now, Uru infused, Cap’s shield is stronger than ever. It just happens to have a giant crack they couldn’t get out.
