Dancing With The Stars 2011 Aftermath: Maksim Chmerkovskiy Defends His Criticism Of The Judges, Co-Stars Side With Len Goodman

News, Top Story

After a heated exchange between Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Len Goodman on Dancing With The Stars, the pro defended his words and criticism of the judge although some of his co-stars disagreed.

“Not all of them [share my opinion],” Maks said of his fellow dancers. “Most of them, yes. But there are a few of them that actually went up to the judges and for some reason went as far as apologizing for me and disagreeing with what I said.”

After Len Goodman told Hope Solo that it was her ‘worst dance’ of the season, Maks went off and told Len that maybe it was time for him to “get out” of the business.

Derek Hough said that he made a similar mistake when he partnered with Shannon Elizabeth.

“Sometimes you do take things personally…I did that one time with Shannon Elizabeth. I went off,” Hough said. “And I thought, ‘Oh my goodness, I can’t ever do that again!’ I felt like the judges have been incredibly generous this season so I was surprised.”
