Get Your Harry Potter Now! Warner Bros To Put Series In The Vault

Disc Announcements, News

Following in the Disney school of DVD/Blu-Ray releases, Warner Bros. has decided to put their multi-billion dollar Harry Potter franchise into the vault starting December 29th, 2011.

With the 29th as the pull date for all versions of the films, that means the last film in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 as well as Harry Potter: The Complete 8-Film Collection will be available to fans for only eight weeks.

There has been no news as to what Warner Bros. plans to do with this new vault system however, but I’d be prepared for Collectors Editions, Special Editions and probably Anniversary Editions to be released around the holiday season most likely with a few never before scene features to lure in the shoppers. I would imagine some fancy packaging will show up from time to time as well.

Either way, fans need to make sure to pick up there Deathly Hallows Part 2 to complete the series this December, cause who knows how long you’ll have to wait after that. And therein is probably the smartest part of this move on Warner Bros. part.
