Spec scripts were once a hit craze in Hollywood. Now having one bought is a rarity. But Warner Bros. is taking a chance on The End, a science fiction/drama spec script from Aron Eli Coleite, who has previously worked with Tim Kring writing episodes for Crossing Jordan and Heroes.
For this film feature, the focus is on three separate stories that’s only connection with one another is the characters are trying to come to grips that the world is coming to an end. The players include a veteran broadcaster in London, a 16-year old girl and her boyfriend in Ann Arbor, Mich., and a devoted family man in Shanghai.
