FilmNation Entertainment will be partnering with the film’s producer, Oren Peli (who wrote and directed the original Paranormal Activity plus the upcoming Area 51), on a new horror property.
Deadline reports that FilmNation is fully financing a thriller that centers on a group of friends stranded in a desolate town that’s been abandoned in the aftermath of a nuclear disaster. As day turns to night the friends begin to hear “inhuman-sounding cries” in the distance.
Peli is writing and producing and Brad Parker, who previously served as the second unit director on Let Me In, is directing.
The ensemble cast currently includes Jonathan Sadowski, Devin Kelley, Jesse McCartney, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Nathan Phillips, Ingrid Bolso Berdal and Dimitry Diatchenko.
