Washington Redskins vs Buffalo Bills: NFL Week 8, Who’s for Real?

Columns

Redskins 0, Buffalo Bills 23

Daniels is in no way surprised by the outcome here:  “This was the easiest pick on the board this week.  Hightower, Moss, and Cooley are all gone, rookie quarterback at the helm, and the Redskins were supposed to score points?  How, exactly?  The Bills pick up their first win in Toronto and keep pushing toward that wildcard spot.”

Rhett Davis, though, is rooting hard for the Bills: “Nine sacks and two interceptions later, the Bills defense had destroyed the Redskin offense.  The Redskins are in a bad shape due to injuries, but the Bills continue to win ball games.  I really hope the Bills get into the playoffs this year after rallying so much.  Not only did Bills’ QB throw two TDs, but Fred Jackson ran for yet again over 100 yards and catching almost as much.  The Bills will have trouble winning the playoffs, but, with the Patriots not as dominant as usual and the Jets not looking as good, it might be the year the Bills win it. Not to mention they already have a win over the Pats.  I can’t see the Redskins overcoming the Giants, however.”

My Take:  I said from week 1 that the Skins were amazingly overrated.  They have some talent, mostly on defense, but the offense was playing over its collective heads and  they had zilch for depth.  The Bills, though?  If they beat the Jets next week they are in control of the AFC Wildcard and have an outside chance to steal their division.  Can they beat the Jets?  I have zero idea.  Well, I have some idea – If they throw at Revis, then no, no they can’t.  Does anyone doubt that either of these teams would own the AFC South, though?
