UFC 138: Terry Etim Submits Edward Faaloloto

News

Anything I write here is automatically going to take longer to type than the fight. That’s unfortunate, maybe even a bit sad. At UFC 138, Terry Etim was coming back to UFC after an extended period and long, long layoff. 18 months to be precise. Edward Faaloloto was coming off a TKO loss to The Ultimate Fighter 12 runner-up Michael Johnson and needed to win or impress or he might very well be on his way out of the company.

Etim touched gloves and came at Faaloloto with a whirlwind of strikes and a spinning back kick. As Faaloloto shot for a double leg takedown, Etim grabbed a tight guillotine that almost put his opponent out on his feet.

Then Faaloloto tapped.

17 seconds. That’s all it took for Terry Etim to re-establish himself in the UFC.

Welcome back, Terry.
