St. Louis Rams vs Arizona Cardinals: NFL Week 9 OVERTIME!

Rams 13, Cardinals 19 (OT)

Daniels decries how unpredictable bad teams are: Had you asked me which team was going to win when both teams have bad defense and one had Steven Jackson, I would have picked the team with Steven Jackson 100 times out of 100.  The thing about bad teams, though, is they appear to be unpredictable.  Who knew?

While Rams fan Rhett Davis is less objective: It makes me sick… but the game was decided on a Punt Return in overtime.  Overall the game was slow and plodding with not any real big scores.  It appeared that the Rams would end the game in regulation, but the Cardinals would block the field goal sending the game into Overtime.  Both quarterbacks had good game throwing for over 200 yards each.

My Take:  The Rams are the better team here, but the Cards win.  There’s variability in football like that.  The Rams have a weak schedule going forward, but little reason to really want to compete.  They aren’t catching the 49ers and a high draft pick would do wonders for them.  They need playmakers, as the luster coming off Bradford is a shame – he’s still great.  I have no idea what the Cards do to get better, however.  What a strange, ugly team.
