Dexter‘s James Remar Amongst Handful To Join Tarantino’s Django Unchained

A generation ago, James Remar was known for being a tough guy in films like 48 Hours and The Warriors. Now he’s a character actor best known as Dexter Morgan’s father in Dexter, Showtime’s hit about a serial killer. And now he’s joining Tom Wopat, James Russo and Todd Allen for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained per Variety.

Remar and Russo will play slave trading brothers Ace and Dicky Speck, who purchase Django (Jamie Foxx) at the Greenville Slave Auction. Remar’s “48 Hrs.” co-star Allen will play plantation overseer Dollar Bill, while Wopat has been cast as Marshall Gill Tatum.
