FUEL TV Will Dedicate Over 2,000 Hours to UFC Programming in 2012

News

Previously exclusive to Facebook, Fuel TV will begin airing live preliminary bouts in 2012, among other UFC programs.

Dana White made the announcement on a Wednesday conference call featuring UFC and Fox Sports executives and other various media outlets. White went on and confirmed that Fuel will air over 2,000 hours of UFC related content throughout 2012; essentially 25% of Fuel’s scheduling will be dedicated to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

With Fuel TV currently blasting into over 32 Million homes, White also confirmed that Facebook will not be airing any live fights in 2012.

In addition to Facebook no longer airing the early preliminary bouts, Spike TV will obviously no longer be airing the final two prelim fights that lead into the UFC PPV. Instead, FX will take on that duty. The schedule is expected to look something like this:

Fuel TV: Early Preliminary Bouts
FX: UFC Prelims (Final Two Preliminary Bouts)
PPV: UFC Main Card
