Pettis and Lauzon Expected to Fight on Super Bowl Weekend

The two lightweight victors from UFC 136 have verbally agreed to face each other at UFC 143, taking place on Super Bowl weekend.

Sources close to both parties confirmed with MMAWeekly that the fighters have verbally agreed for the fight to take place on the February 4th show. Further details for the fight have yet to be ironed out, though.

Joe Lauzon (21 Wins, 6 Losses) and former WEC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis (12 Wins, 2 Losses) both walked out of the octagon at UFC 136 as winners and Lauzon was quick to call out Anthony “Showtime” Pettis via. Twitter.
