BFCA Scores For Possible Oscar Contenders

News

The scores from the Broadcast Film Critics is an early measuring stick of what to expect to see as Best Picture contenders. The number to pay attention to is 85. The reason: No film with a BFCA score lower than 85 has ever been nominated to Oscar’s BP lineup. But that score doesn’t preclude an acting nomination for such a film.

The scores below do not include documentaries or films that have not been rated by the BFCA – this includes War Horse, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, The Artist, Young Adult, Shame, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Albert Nobbs, Iron Lady, A Dangerous Method, Carnage, and Rampart, all of which get released late Nov./Dec.
