Stay Through The Credits, Breaking Dawn Includes A Bonus Scene

News, Top Story

Midnight Twihards shouldn’t be quick to leave the theater once the end credits start.

Though our reviews of the latest in the Twilight phenomenon have been embargoed until its official release date (you’ll really want to know what Scott thinks, especially after his “8 Reasons to watch The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” piece from Monday), we can tell you this much:

Stay for the credits.

For comic-book movies extra scenes after the credits are to be expected. Marvel Comics has done its best to keep moviegoers squirming in their seats, and DC Comics was ballsy enough to tease a Green Lantern sequel with Sinestro even before knowing the first one was going to be a hit (it wasn’t). Luckily, Twilight fans won’t have to wait for all the credits to roll to see the bonus scene.

Rather than spoil it, here’s the patriarch of the Cullen family, Peter Facinelli, to clue you in via Twitter.

“If you’re a devoted Twihard you can probably guess what to expect in the final scene– after all, Bella and Edward’s wedding and her pregnancy is only part of the action. But we won’t spoil the fun for everybody else. Breaking Dawn is poised to shatter all kind of box office records when it opens this weekend, and if the previous films are any indication, there will be big crowds even for the midnight screenings tonight. I know it’s a long movie, and at the end of two hours you’re going to want to get to bed. But if you’ve made the effort to see it at midnight, for god’s sake, give the credits a few extra minutes. It’ll pay off.”
