Billboard will no longer count “deeply discounted” CDs towards their charts. Any new album priced at $3.49 or less, or singles priced at $0.39 or less, will not be considered for the sales charts. The move comes after Lady Gaga’s Born This Way sold 400,000 copies on launch day due to a $0.99 sale on Amazon.com.
