Tate was revealed as the Rubber Man in tonight’s episode, which showed him having sex with Vivien and also being behind the deaths of Chad (Zachary Quinto) and his lover. The episode saw Vivien being sent to an institution for seeing delusions after she accidentally shot Ben.
Tate used the suit that Chad initially bought to ensure that the house remains in the control of the ghosts who reside in it. Apparently anyone who dies in the house is doomed to spend the afterlife in it.
