Skitch Commentary – With Christmas coming I really want one of those Sinestro Power Battery and Ring sets. Yes, I already have two different Sinestro Corps rings (including one that lights up!) but you can never have too many rings. Right Hal?
– Green Lantern: The New Guardians continues to be awesome. Loved the last page, I actually cheered when I read it.
– Shade 2 was excellent as well. I actually was supposed to review the first issue, but that just ended up not happening. I was going to say:
One of the nice things about having been out of comics as long as I was is that I seemed to have missed any of James Robinson’s panned work. I didn’t read his JLA or Cry for Justice. So to me, Robinson is still the genius who wrote Starman and JSA. That said, I will admit I had a lot of concerns about how this mini-series was going to play out, just because of Robinson’s reputation lately. I am very happy to report that this series definitely went a long way towards recapturing the magic he created In Starman.
And that still holds true for the second issue.
– Other comics I picked up this week include Aquaman, Superman and Teen Titans though I haven’t gotten around to reading those yet.

Grey Commentary: – So what if it’s eight bucks? Fantastic Four #600 is a must buy for any fan of the first family of Marvel. Jon Hickman has been doing some fantastic stuff between Fantastic Four and Future Foundation, and I’ll be damned if the return to Fantastic form isn’t a little overdue. Can’t wait!
– Kick Ass 2 #5 is out. Seriously, it’s on hte list. I wonder when the movie is coming out?
– Secret Avengers went from the worst Avengers book to one of the best ones, and it’s all because of Warren Ellis. Sure, this could very well be his last issue (I lose track), but Rick Remender is coming on after him so have no fear! Black Ops Avengers can be fun!
– Wolverine and the X-Men #2? Well, the first one was great, and Bachalo is still drawing it, so I expect great things.
