The Dallas Cowboys will not put in a waiver claim for veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb, who was released by the Minnesota Vikings yesterday coach Jason Garrett said.
NFL teams have until 3 p.m. CT to claim McNabb.
Many thought that the Cowboys would have an interest in a backup quarterback because Jon Kitna is nursing a back injury that will force him to miss this third consecutive game this Sunday at Arizona. Dallas did try for Kyle Orton last week but lost him to Kansas City.
