Soul singer Michael McDonald is taking a break from Motown covers to put out two very different albums next year. He will be producing music with guitarist Robben Ford, as well as his son Dylan, and releasing them through social media sites rather than on traditional CDs. The music with Ford will be more experimental for him, while the tracks with his son are covers of groups like the Beach Boys and Stealer’s Wheel.
