Skitch Commentary- The good part about when I post this column late is that I can actually talk about some of the comics that came out. Ray 1 was a great comic! Doing a full review for this week, both definitely worth checking out.
-Superboy is still all over the place. Honestly, not sure I would be still picking it up if not for for much I love Teen Titans and want to see how it all pieces together. This issue we were promised Superboy’s origin…only to find out that “no one knows it.” Uhm…okay…what was the point of that?
– Shade #3 was also really good. Robinson has a great handle on this book, and I’ve really liked what he’s done so far.
– I picked up Legion Lost and Demon Knights too, but haven’t read them yet.

Grey Commentary – Avengers Academy #23 is going to feature quite a few things spoiled before their time. Like Striker coming out of the closet, something spoiled by Axel Alonso weeks ago. It also features X-23 being thrown by Mettle in a Fastball Special on the cover. Oh the fun that shall be had with this title in the coming months barring Marvel cancelling it to justify triple shipping the rest of the Avengers line.
– Avengers X-Sanction is finally here, but how do we really feel about that? Cable had an awesome death not too long ago, and now he’s back to kill the Avengers? I mean, sure, they could use their numbers thinned out a bit, but they also just announced that they’ll be fighting the X-Men in an event in a few months. So really, before this mini even hits shelves, what are the odds of Cable killing anyone but himself?
– Carnage USA, if anything like the last Carnage mini by Wells and Crain, is going to be sick twisted awesome fun.
– New Avengers might finally see the New Dark Avengers actually do something, but it’s also equally as likely that Bendis just drags it out further before actually creating conflict. I mean, sure, this time is supposed to be different, but this storyline has had like 5 false starts in the last month. I dropped Avengers over one of them (and other problems).
– SHIELD is freaking awesome.
– Uncanny X-Force is the final part of the epic Dark Angel Saga, and we’ve been promised death! Can X-Force save Warren Worthington from his new role of Apocalypse? Or is this the end of the high flying Angel we’ve all known and loved?
