Floyd Mayweather Jr. Goes To Jail For 90 Days

WBC Welterweight Champion and P4P superstar Floyd Mayweather Junior has been sent to jail after pleading guilty to a charge of misdemeanor battery domestic violence and no contest on two counts of harassment. All charges related to domestic abuse allegations made against Mayweather by his on-off girlfriend Josie Harris last year. The presiding judge said that in light of Mayweather’s previous record she was minded to sentence him to a three month custodial sentence, beginning on January 6th. She is however hearing the defense team’s appeal over the severity of the sentence. If it stands the sentence would throw into doubt the possibility of him making the announced date of May 5th for his next fight.
