Ralph Bakshi’s Wizards Coming To Blu-ray

A 35th Anniversary Edition of Animator Ralph Bakshi’s Wizards will be released by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment on March 13th carrying a SRP of . The legendary filmmaker who brought us Fritz the Cat originally brought this story to life in 1977. Using Bakshi’s trademark rotoscope animation style, Wizards tells the adventure of Avatar, a sorcerer who must, along with a ragtag group of fairies and elves, trek across a treacherous post-apocalyptic wasteland to defeat Blackwolf, the evil sorcerer.

This was Fox’s first animated film.

Fox’s 35th Anniversary Edition Blu-ray presents the film in its 1.85:1 original aspect ratio with a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. The Digibook release also contains the following supplements:

    * Digibook packaging has 24-pages of artwork, some never-before-seen
