In-Color Interior Art & Three Super-Hero Leads Revealed For John Byrne’s TRIO From IDW!

News, Top Story

Following our earlier news about more traditional super-hero fare from John Byrne through IDW in 2012, particularly a team book called TRIO, comes the black and white cover to TRIO #1. No solicitation date has been revealed, but we do have a better look at the three super-hero leads for this new series.

Nice cover shared by John Byrne himself!

In addition, IDW head honcho Chris Ryall has also released a colored version of TRIO #1’s first page. I’ve included the black and white version below as well for comparsion to what John Byrne revealed earlier.

Things are shaping up.

Here’s what Chris Ryall had to say:

The first B&W page of John Byrne‘s mysterious new superhero title he’s launching with us has made the rounds, as has the book’s title, TRIO, and logo. While I’m not here yet to offer up any new details about the series yet, I can say that anyone who’s a fan of JB’s past Marvel and DC efforts is going to really love what’s going on here. Especially once we reveal plans for the covers and the thrust of the series itself.

The team reveal? Still to come. But for now, here’s that page 1 in full, vivid color by Ronda Pattison.

I’m intrigued. :)
