A Day in the Life of Stephanie McMahon – WWE Writing Team, Operations Meetings, T-Shirt Concepts, more

News, Top Story

Stephanie McMahon was featured in the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly magazine, as part of EW’s What Did You Do Today?” feature.

Diva Dirt shared some snippets of the EW feature and the magazine is on newsstands now:

8:30 am – Review emails about Tuesday night’s taping of Smackdown

“I had to catch up on last night’s show, and went back and forth with some of writers about what worked, what didn’t work, what deviated from the script, and why. I also get a Trendrr report about what reactions were like on social networks and the web.”

2:00 pm – Writers meeting with dad (and WWE chariman and CEO) Vince McMahon

“We have 16 writers, plus Vince. Today we talked about the Royal Rumble, and then we talked about WrestleMania. Vince–I always call him Vince at work–is very open to listening and discussing different ideas, but once he makes his final decision, he’s the boss.”

6:30 pm – Daily recap meeting with director of operations, talent, Shawn Cogdill

“After going over the day’s decisions and taking a look at ongoing issues, my husband and I left together at 7:15 pm. Work didn’t stop until at 10:30 pm, though–that’s when I was done reading scripts while doing cardio in my home gym.”

CB’s Slant: This was an interesting little piece on Stephanie that really showed her hands-on involvement in both the day to day operations of WWE’s wrestling programs and also other parts of the business like reviewing T-Shirt concepts for WWE superstars and meeting with the head of WWE Films about projects currently in production.
