– I’m giving the Daniel Bryan heel character some time to grow on me. So far so good but I’m still afraid he’s going to turn into the WWE “Heel 101” character they’ve been booking lately.
– “I have a great admiration for her.” – Douche-bag guy to a T. Wonder how many women rolled their eyes at that line.
– I like how they are letting the crowds slowly turn on Bryan without him doing anything outright heelish.
– That tie Josh Mathews is wearing is bigger than his damn neck!
– While I like Cody & his new attitude, I’m not very excited about this seemingly inevitable match between him & Goldust. Rhodes is already a strong character & in ring worker, he could be having fantastic matches with someone else on the same path as him but yet we keep getting storylines with him versus men well past their primes.
– Like Justin Gabriel (although Gabriel looks like an idiot).
– That was fun and gave us a taste of a match with great potential. These types of matches are how Cody (and the IC title) should be featured.
– I wish WWE would have more faith in The Uso’s. There’s big potential there & their family definitely knows how to get over (Rikishi & the Rock did pretty well).
– If ANYONE says they thought the Funkasaurus looked like money on paper, they’re a liar. He’s not a main event right now but he’ll do great merch sales & it won’t take much to make him a monster again.
– “Buxon wench!” – I’ll always pop for the word “wench”.
– Sheamus versus Wade Barrett could be a very real WrestleMania main event in a few years. It’s pretty amazing how quietly a lot of young talent has established itself over the last two years.
– They’ve really done nothing to build Mahal. It feels like he’s just Sheamus’ personal jobber.
– Huncio vs Ted DiBiase… This will not be a future WrestleMania main event.
– Convenient that the Mexican wrestler is involved in a flag match.
– Ted DiBiase is such a weird case. Fans SEEM to like him but not enough for it to matter. I honestly don’t know how else to save his character.
– “Drew Macintosh” – One of my new favorite Santino-isms.
– Similar to Ted DiBiase, Drew McIntyre is in a weird position. Drew has a larger upside because people don’t have preconceptions about him like DiBiase thanks to his father. If Barrett hadn’t been stuck with a crew since his debut, someone with that much charisma and poise would benefit Drew immensely.
– Unlike most of my contemporaries, I loved the Jake Roberts/Rick Martel blindfold match. All of the ones since have been terrible.
– That was almost more boos for Bryan than for Mark Henry.
– Ha! Bryan just pissed EVERYONE off. That was a unique match & finish to a Lumberjack match. Loved the idea of a cage match with Show, Henry & Bryan. Looks like they are going all out with Daniel Bryan since I can’t see how he loses the belt at the PPV.
