Skitch Commentary – Lots of big books coming out this week, especially with Justice League being pushed back from last week. On top of Justice League, I am really looking forward to Teen Titans, Superman, New Guardians, and Aquaman.
-Sweet Tooth Volume 4? I didn’t even know Volume 3 came out. I picked up the first two for my brother for Christmas (we both like Jeff Lemire’s Relaunch work).
– Nice timing on that Batman Beyond trade with the new digital series launching next week. I definitely hope DC supports that book!
– Another Kingdom Come edition? Are there seriously still people who haven’t gotten one of the numerous trades or hardcover editions over the years? I guess so if DC feels they can still sell a new printing for a hundred bucks.
– Not sure if it’s a good idea for DC to release trades for Catwoman and Resurrection Man this week. Seems like they might cause some confusion. Maybe DC should consider some kind of “Classic” logo for these trades, especially for series that are currently part of Relaunch. I was very confused at first, thinking “how can they charge 30 bucks for trades with 4 issues each?”

Grey Commentary – A double dose of Hickman? Yes please! Fantastic Four and FF dropping the same week may seem like overkill, but both books are red hot right now (even if FF picked up an artist that…the book isn’t so pretty anymore). Johnny’s back, Doom is going to go bitchslap space gods, and the Fantastic Four are probably going to get bailed out of Earth saving duties by….Galactus? These books are just plain awesome.
– Secret Avengers is debuting Rick Remender as the new ongoing writer, which means that he has officially carved out his niche as the Black Ops guy between Uncanny X-Force, Venom, and this. Speaking of, Flash Thompson is going to be on this Hawkeye led team….so is Captain Britain though, who is currently in X-Force trying to kill Fantomex. I love how well he ties everything together.
– X-Men Legacy is the first non-Point One issue of Christos Gage’s run on the book, and if that point one issue showed me anything it’s that he’s bringing the same quality of work to the X-Men that he’s been known to give to everything else he writes. Really looking forward to this one.
