CreativelyEndeavored.com’s Quick Quips: Impact 2.2.12

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

{So I’ve been M.I.A. since before the Rumble and I do apologize. I’ve been on vacation and the shows have gotten away from me. Quick ‘thank you’ to JC and Martin who’ve picked up my slack this week. You can expect Raw coverage tonight though.}

– This who looks REALLY good in the Wembley Arena. I was really impressed with TNA’s house show setup and this is similar. I don’t miss the big entrance stage at all.

– “The great country of Ireland!” – That pissed off Irish people more than the English.

– I don’t like how they’re going with the curtain shot every entrance though. Embrace the smaller (and different!) setting.

– Woah England went nuts for Sting.

– Does TNA have any tag teams that have an actual team name anymore?

– I like the idea of this Buckingham Brawl tag team match. It’s different but not as confusing as most TNA gimmick matches.

– Did Mike Tenay seriously go on a rant about how much the British fans hate Eric Bischoff while we were watching fans bow down to him? Awful.

– Well that was awkward. It seemed like a time killer segment.

– Um, why the hell would you market this show as Hulk Hogan’s return AND the reveal of Garrett’s trainer? Your audience isn’t that dumb (I hope).

– Oh my God that was a nasty flashback to Brock Lesnar at WM 19. Until that move, this was a very good X-Division match. Better than anything Xema Ion has done.

– This match should be your main event. Nothing (not even Hogan) should be going on after the 3 guys who are in your World title program.

– Anyone know what the design is on Bobby Roode’s tights? It’s been bugging me for awhile.

– Bobby Roode just won with a spear? Huh?

– Did Gail Kim and Tara lose all their chemistry? They just seem a bit off.

– Not their best match but good booking with the challenger going over in the non-title match.

– Is there still an Immortal? Doesn’t it consist of one wrestler and two non-wrestlers (Gunner/Flair and Bischoff)?

– Man, the Brits love their 80s/90s stars. No one TNA does so well over there.

– Incase Garrett Bischoff wasn’t going to have enough issues with nepotism in his career, why not throw Hulk Hogan into the mix? Poor guy.

– A cricket bat? Ok…

– A good show and a very good show for TNA. The arena made the company feel like a big deal and the show mostly featured their young talent.
