Skitch Commentary: – The comic version of Brave and the Bold is coming to an end? I guess it makes sense since the show is gone, but any issue of Brave and the Bold I’ve checked out has been really cool. The more entry level comics we have for kids, the better. I am always looking for comics that my daughter can check out, she’s a huge fan of shows like Brave and the Bold, Superhero Squad, and Young Justice.
– Not really picked up too much new this week. Demon Knights and Legion Lost are pretty much it from DC (Justice League Beyond is a digital release I will be getting).
– Since they announced World’s Finest as part of Relaunch Wave 2, it’s kind of clear that this Huntress mini is more important than it seems. The series has been fine, it just hasn’t blown me away. Kind of like Superboy.

Grey Commentary: – Writer Chris Yost promises big spoilers out of Battle Scars this week, but that’s probably all this mini is going to be. Spoilers about Marcus Johnson that will most likely leave him as the son of Nick Fury, the new head of SHIELD, and their way of solving the “Fury is black in the movies” problem that they are most likely seeing because…it’s Marvel and they cater to the movie audience.
– Captain America is dealing with his powers turning on and off. Take that as you will.
– Deadpool turns 50 and DIES! That’s the arc they’ve been promoting, at least, Deadpool is dead.
– Scarlet Spider #2 drops, and the first issue was freaking awesome, so my high hopes for this series will continue forward. Kaine is, so far, an interesting lead character, not to mention proof that the Clone Saga doesn’t have to be a dirty word.
– Rick Remender’s run on Secret Avengers really started a few weeks ago with a .1 issue, but this is his first real issue of the book with his team. It’s Rick Remender, I can’t fathom any scenario where this book doesn’t end up being great.
– Wolverine and the X-Men is seeing a double shot, with the new issue of Jason Aaron’s ongoing and the second issue of Brian Wood’s Kid Omega mini series. And hey, Jason Aaron is bringing in the Brood!
Skitch Commentary: – Looking forward for Scarlet Spider #2 this week. I just hope that Marvel manages to make it available in the general Comixology app tomorrow.
– I actually had no idea that Powers was still coming out. Been a long time since an issue caught my eye. They really should make them available as digital trades, I like Powers quite a bit.
-Fantastic Four Season One is 25 dollars? IS THAT A TYPO?? Why am I going to pay 25 bucks for another retelling of FF’s origin, when I can get a DVD-Rom with every issue of FF until like 2005 for $23.75 on Amazon? Or when I can get Essential Fantastic Four for $9.50? This is just absurd. Marvel seems to have less and less connection with the realities of the market lately.
