Hitting store shelves on Tuesday, Feb. 21 is the latest DVD to spotlight “The People’s Champ,” Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. If you have been keeping track, this marks the fifth Rock DVD produced by World Wrestling Entertainment. Previous to the release of The Epic Journey of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson there’s been The Rock: Know Your Role (released under the WWF Attitude Banner), The Rock: The People’s Champ, The Rock: Just Bring It (released as a single disc and a two-disc collector’s edition with bonus matches and segments), and The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment.
With the Epic Journey release, WWE fans will be treated to a feature-length documentary (1 hr, 55 minutes) about the leader of Team Bring It. The documentary recounts his love of the wrestling business and his transition to Hollywood star. The doc features comments and reactions from the likes of former University of Miami teammate Warren Sapp, Johnson’s former wife Dany Garcia, and wrestling personalities such as Mick Foley, Triple H, John Cena, Chris Jericho and CM Punk.
In addition to the doc is eleven bonus matches and four segments.
