On last night’s episode of WWE SmackDown, Randy Orton was officially removed from the Elimination Chamber PPV match by General Manager Teddy Long.
Orton’s replacement wound up being none other than Santino Marella, who won a battle royal to qualify for the final SmackDown Chamber slot:
SmackDown announcer Josh Matthews called Santino’s big underdog win a “Jeremy Lin-like moment”, making reference to the New York Knicks’ Asian-American point guard who came out of nowhere last week and is now an international phenomenon after performing so well for the Knicks.
CB’s Slant: Instead of Linsanity, should we call it Sant-insanity?
