The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Dated, Blu-ray Extras Revealed

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is coming to Blu-ray sooner than you might think.

In an early announcement to retailers, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has penciled in a March 20th release for its adaptation (and first part) of Stieg Larsson’s “Millennium” trilogy. It will arrive on one-disc DVD and three-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack (includes two Blu-ray discs + one DVD).

Earning $200 million in box office worldwide, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was nominated for five Academy Awards including Actress in a Leading Role (Rooney Mara), Cinematography, Film Editing, Sound Editing and Sound Mixing. The film adaptation was directed by David Fincher, who previously helmed The Social Network and Panic Room for Sony Pictures.

While technical specs have yet to be revealed we can tell you that the three-disc Blu-ray Combo Pack includes two Blu-ray discs packed with more than four hours of behind-the-scenes footage plus Fincher commentary.
