WWE Injury Update on Randy Orton Following Orton’s Concussion and Ensuing TV Write-off on Last Week’s SmackDown

News, Top Story

According to WWE.com, Randy Orton – who is currently sidelined due to a real-life concussion he suffered in the ring – will be reevaluated on Monday Feb. 27th to see if he can compete as the Road to WrestleMania moves forward.

CB’s Slant: While Orton’s health is first and foremost, it would be a huge loss to SmackDown if Randy is out for an extended period of time, especially if he misses out on WrestleMania. At the same time, perhaps Christian’s return will soften the blow for the blue brand from a “recognizable star” standpoint, though Christian is still a heel so he doesn’t really fill Orton’s shoes all the way.
