Billy Strange, who played bass for Elvis and other classic artists, is dead at 81. Strange was part of the LA session musicians known as The Wrecking Crew, and played on hits such as Nancy Sinatra’s “These Boots Are Made For Walking” and “Bang Bang”. He also played on the Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds, as well as countless other hit records.
