As TV continues its inevitable death-march towards being nothing but singing competition shows and teen pregnancy dramas 7 days a week, ABC has apparently taken a look at the pie and decided it wants a slice as well. Coming this summer, Kelly Clarkson and Lionel Richie will team up to host Duets for the network, yet another show trying to find whatever undiscovered talent could possibly be left in America after X Factor, American Idol and The Voice failed to completely strip mine it. But this one is drastically different, because it’s about duets, so presumably it’ll be twice as good.
