American Idol contestant Phillip Phillips was sent to the hospital today for symptoms resembling kidney stones, jeopardizing his chances of continuing on the show. Phillips has had stones removed on five previous occasions, and went to the hospital complaining of pain in his abdomen. As a result, he may be forced to withdraw from the show, depending on the orders of the doctor.
