TNA News and Notes: Garrett Bischoff Backstage Heat, Chris Sabin Injury Update, Samoa Joe and Magnus’ Face Turn, More

News, Top Story

Here are some TNA news and notes, including Garrett Bischoff’s backstage heat, an injury update on Chris Sabin, a possible face turn for Samoa Joe and Magnus, and other notes:

–The reaction to Garett Bischoff is that he’s a cool guy, but there is a huge amount of resentment backstage that he’s getting a ton of TV time before he’s ready only because he’s Eric’s son.

–There is no set date for Chris Sabin’s return as he is not ready to compete after knee surgery, which has delayed his return several times. The plan seems to be to reunite Sabin with Alex Shelly as the Motor City Machine Guns when he can comes back, and the latest timetable is that Sabin is still one or two months away.

–Shannon Moore, 32, said that he would be taking time off from wrestling to concentrate on his tattoo businesses. There was no comment from Anarquia.

–Samoa Joe & Magnus were put on the babyface side in the main event this week as an experiment to see if the crowd gets behind them. The feeling was the crowd is a lot more behind them than Matt Morgan & Crimson, so they will likely be kept as faces.

–Lastly, neither Mike Tenay nor Taz were at TV this past week. The new plan is for them to do voiceovers in studio as late as possible before the show airs.
