WWE was forced to pull Randy Orton from the upcoming movie “The Marine: Homefront” due to concerns regarding his military background. “WWE demonstrated poor judgment in signing Randy Orton for the 3rd installment of the film,” said one WWE rep to TMZ. “Despite Randy’s popularity, the fact that he was dishonorably discharged from the USMC made it inappropriate for him to be cast in this film.”
CB’s Slant: The military people who knew about this were opposed to Orton’s casting from the start, so really WWE simply mangled this process from the beginning.
