Notoriously picky rocker Neil Young has taken it to another level, actually registering for a trademark on his new audio formats. The formats, alternatives to the current MP3 standard, are called “Thanks For Listening”, “21st Century Record Player” and “Earth Storage”. They are intended to be high definition versions of the current standard, although the paperwork will take about a year to process so he’ll have lots of time to reunite and break up with all his former bands two or three times while he’s waiting.
