I have been a fan of Jordis Unga for a long time. I initially liked her on Rockstar INXS and she was a standout on The Voice. I have a few mutual friends with her as well including Jessica Robinson and Tara Slone from the now-defunct Rockstar. On The Voice, In fact, she was one of my projected winners. I am not sure why voters didn’t take to her, but I assume that it was her song choices which while definitely soulful weren’t as universally pop as the ones that her competitors sang. With that being said, I was still stunned when her coach, Blake Shelton, instantly eliminated her last week.
Immediately after her elimination, I had the chance to interview Jordis on the red carpet. While I was excited to talk to her and tell her about our mutual friends, I wish it had been under better circumstances.
