Edge was brought to Detroit on Monday to negotiate a new contract with WWE officials. As Edge mentioned during RAW, the WWE Hall of Famer’s contract is coming to an end.
WWE was upset that word got out to the internet that Edge’s contract was expiring. Rumors coming from the situation say WWE tried to low ball Edge in the negotiations prior to when he came to Detroit to meet with them.
Shawn Michaels’ WWE contract earns him $300,000 a year while Mick Foley’s contract is a “little less.” It is believed that Edge’s offered contract wasn’t even close to Mick Foley’s.
