STAMFORD, Conn. – In accordance with its Talent Wellness Program, WWE has suspended Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio) for 60 days effective Thursday, April 26 for his second violation of the company’s policy.
As the snippet states, this is Mysterio’s second Wellness Program violation. As per WWE policy, if Mysterio tests positive for a third time, it will result in his termination from the company.
Mysterio’s first violation came on August 27, 2009, when he received a 30-day suspension for testing positive for banned substances, which Mysterio later claimed were prescribed to him to aid recovery in his knee and arm.
