In Teen Titans 8, the Teen Titans find themselves under assault by a meta named Omen who works for Project NOWHERE and can get inside their heads.
When she taps into Wonder Girl, we discover that Cassie isn’t actually a meta at all, all her powers come from an invisible armor that she’s wearing. And her magic lasso is killing her. Cassie apparently got this equipment in order to save the life of someone close to her, and she worries that the equipment will one day control her.
I am really curious is Cassie is connected to Wonder Woman at all in this continuity. Not a huge fan of the “invisible” technology, but it is a cool twist on her origin and I’m curious to learn more.
