WWE Issues John Cena Injury Update Following his Extreme Rules PPV Match with Brock Lesnar

WWE.com issued a (storyline) injury update on John Cena following his brutal match with Brock Lesnar at Sunday night’s Extreme Rules PPV.

According to the story, Cena suffered “torn muscles, possibly a torn rotator cuff or a biceps muscle” during the match, along with other injuries.

Of course, Cena also indicated after the match that he will be taking time off, with the real reason being that Cena’s been banged up for awhile and he needs time to heal up from the wear and tear of the full-time WWE schedule he’s been going above and beyond with for years.

CB’s Slant: This is the perfect time to let Cena just rest up and lick his wounds, and I would love for John to get at least a three-month break, possibly returning around SummerSlam.
