Royal Rumble 2012 And WrestleMania Blu-rays For $8

News

Coinciding with the release of WrestleMania 28 on DVD and Blu-ray – and as a means to match Best Buy’s weekly deals – Amazon.com has reduced three WWE Blu-rays to $7.99 each (a savings of 46% off the original price). Among the titles on sale are this year’s Royal Rumble as well as WrestleMania 25 and 26.

WrestleMania 25 is highlighted by Shawn Michaels taking on The Undertaker in a 30 minute classic that saw each WWE icon pull out all the stops in trying to pick up a victory. Also on the card was the return of Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat to wrestling action as he, along with Jimmy Snuka and Roddy Piper, took on Chris Jericho in a handicap match. Then of course is the Money in the Bank match and a pair of championship matches that nobody cared to see after HBK/Taker. The Blu-ray also features highlights from the previous 24 Wrestlemanias plus the 2009 Hall of Fame ceremony.

WrestleMania 26 includes Shawn Michaels’ retirement match against The Undertaker along with another spot-filled Money in the Bank match, Edge defending his heavyweight title against Chris Jericho, and Cena and Batista battling it out for the WWE Championship. The Blu-ray includes the 2010 Hall of Fame ceremony plus bonus matches featuring some of the inductees in action.

Royal Rumble 2012 would prove a fruitless event as the Royal Rumble winner would go on to open the WrestleMania 28 PPV instead of be in the main event. Also on the card was John Cena taking on Kane, Daniel Bryan, Big Show and Mark Henry in a Triple Threat Steel Cage Match for the World Heavyweight Championship, and CM Punk defending his WWE title belt against Dolph Ziggler.
