CB’s Slant: Final Card and Snapshot Thoughts for TNA Sacrifice PPV (Bobby Roode vs. RVD)

News, PPVs, Shows, Top Story

Below is the final card for the TNA Sacrifice PPV taking place this Sunday 5/13/12. Can you think of a better Mother’s Day present than giving mom the chance to see Bobby Roode vs. RVD in a Ladder Match for the TNA World Heavyweight Title? I hope you can, but here’s the full lineup which sadly excludes Joseph Park vs. his brother Chris Parks, aka Abyss:

–TNA World Title match: Bobby Roode vs. Rob Van Dam in a ladder match.

–Kurt Angle vs. A.J. Styles.

–TNA Tag Title match: Samoa Joe & Magnus vs. Daniels & Kazarian.

–Jeff Hardy vs. Mr. Anderson.

–Bully Ray vs. X Division champion Austin Aries in a non-title match.

–Knockouts Title match: Gail Kim vs. Miss Tessmacher.

–TV Title match: Devon vs. Robbie E. vs. Rob Terry in a three-way match.

CB’s Slant: Outside of the tag match and Ray vs. Aries, this PPV looks like an easy one to skip. RVD-Roode has no zing to it and Angle-Styles don’t even have a storyline anymore with the whole Styles-Dixie reveal that occurred on Impact this week. Brooke Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim has a little bit of appeal to the Owangotangs and Joseph Hargroves of the world, but not for whatever amount they are charging for Sacrifice.

But hey, at least there’s no Garrett Bischoff match on the card, right? (Yes, that’s a rhetorical question.)
