Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23 Episode 1-5 Review – Getting Out of a Jam

Reviews, Shows

This is another one of the shows I’m late reviewing this week (there is a LOT of TV on, guys) so I’ll only say a little bit about “Making Rent”.

I like how this show has been developing, and I really want to see it come back for another season. Last episode, Chloe injected June with some sassy confidence and it didn’t work out all that well. But this week, we saw how the girls might be rubbing off on each other more than they realized. Chloe actually likes having June around, and June is capable of being more manipulative than she thought.

I also think in this episode we saw some of the problem supporting characters – Luther (who, for the most part, is the funniest of the peripheral characters), Eli, Mark and Robin – get fleshed out a bit. I’m not saying they’re now great characters, but I think this episode was a sign that they’re being worked on, and it gives me hope for how the show will develop if it gets another season.

Favorite line of the night: “You’re such a good Korean!”
