Universal’s big holiday release, Les Miserables, based on the award-winning Broadway musical and brought to the big screen by Oscar winner Tom Hooper (The King’s Speech), brings with it an impressive cast – Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway and Russell Crowe among others – to go along with its splendid visuals.
The first teaser has been unveiled over at MSN and showcases Hathaway’s singing talent as she takes on “I Dreamed a Dream.” For those wondering how she compares to Susan Boyle’s Britain’s Got Talent version, the jury’s still out. But had Hathaway been sporting her black skin-tight leather from The Dark Knight Rises she would have taken the competition in a walk.
Les Miserables will hit theaters eleven days before Christmas on December 14, 2012.
