When you call something “The 50 Greatest Finishing Moves in WWE History” you sort of know what to expect: 50 of the top ways to finish an opponent. Following on the heels of its two previous countdown compilations, OMG! The Top 50 Incidents in WWE History and The Top 50 Superstars of All-Time, World Wrestling Entertainment will unveil just what is the greatest finishing move in WWE history on August 21, 2012.
The 50 Greatest Finishing Moves in WWE History counts down some of the most excellently executed finishers (ahem, the “Sharpshooter”) plus those that are so quick and severe the opponent doesn’t even see it coming (see the “Diamond Cutter,” “RKO,” and “Stone Cold Stunner”). From submissions to knockout blows WWE fans will get to count down some of their favorite finishers and argue their placement plus note the glaring omissions.
The compilation will be available as both a three-disc DVD release and two-disc Blu-ray set. If you want to see what the 50-1 countdown will look like, you can do so here. In addition to the feature countdown, the DVD comes with 17 bonus matches and seven bonus segments of finishers that just missed the cut.
