WWE SmackDown Spoilers for Friday 6/22/12 – Opening segment: Teddy Long comes out to celebrate the firing of John Laurinaitis. Big Show is out next and says he doesn’t care about Big Johnny’s ouster and that he is entering the Money In The Bank match for a shot at the briefcase. Brodus Clay interrupts to brawl with Big Show, then David Otunga also makes his way out. Show knocks out Brodus, then Otunga dances to “Somebody Call My Momma” to add insult to injury.
Match 1. Ryback squashes two jobbers.
Match 2. Alberto Del Rio def. Christian in a non-title match by submission. Cody Rhodes attacked Christian afterwards.
Match 3. Kane def. Daniel Bryan. AJ Lee was guest timekeeper and rang the bell when Bryan had Kane in the YES! Lock, but Kane never tapped out (perhaps she was doing it to force Bryan to break the hold prematurely?). The ref waived off AJ’s call and Kane then won with a Choke Slam.
Segment with Mick Foley, who put THE ONE MAN SOUTHERN ROCK BAND Heath Slater against LONG ISLAND ICED Z Zack Ryder in a match.
Match 4. In a rarity for 2012, Zack Ryder won a match and def. Heath Slater.
Backstage, Mick and Zack celebrate, then Damien Sandow sees them and insults Ryder. You’re welcome.
Match 5. The Primetime Players (with AW) def. the Usos
Another backstage celebration is interrupted when Primo punches out AW and then he and Epico brawl with the PTPers.
Non-TV Segment: Jack Swagger gets Pedigreed by Triple H for the live crowd.
Match 6. MAIN EVENT: Sheamus def. Dolph Ziggler with a Brogue Kick. Dueling “Let’s Go Ziggler / Let’s Go Sheamus” chants in what seems to be a very physical match.
