John Bradshaw Layfield — JBL as he was last known in WWE — had a near-death experience when attempting to climb Russia’s Mount Elbrus last week. While attempting the climb, JBL suffered severe frostbite and hypoxia that ended his journey 1,000 feet short of the summit and nearly ended his life. JBL said he was “lucky to be alive” but that “all is good frostbite is fine and hypoxia symptoms left when I got off mountain.”
